Seongnam City announced on the 9th that the 'Moran Fireworks Night Market' will be pilot opened four times in total on the 10th, 11th, 17th, and 18th at the teppanyaki-specialized street created in Moran Market, Seongnam-dong, Jungwon-gu.
During the pilot opening period, from 6 PM to 11 PM, about 25 stalls including barbecue, chicken skewers, meat jeon, and grilled octopus horong will be set up along a 200-meter section of the Moran Market intersection.
In particular, the barbecue is a specialized dish developed through the collaboration of 17 Moran Market merchants and culinary experts.
On the first day of the pilot opening, cultural and artistic street performances will be held. Visitors can enjoy the fireworks mime by the Chuncheon Mime Festival Association, a K-fusion performance by the 8-member traditional Korean music creative group RC9 (Eolssigu), and a jazz band performance by High Jin Trio.
Additionally, nostalgic dalgona games and lotteries, a teppanyaki stall tour stamp event, prize draws, and online discount coupon draws (https://blog.naver.com/moran-market) will take place.
The official opening of the night market is scheduled for September.
The city previously invested 280 million won in creating the specialized street.
A city official stated, "We plan to supplement any shortcomings during the pilot operation period of the Moran Fireworks Night Market and strengthen promotion to officially open in September," adding, "We will revitalize the Moran station area, boost the local economy, and elevate this into a win-win festival."
