Namwon Agricultural Technology Center Opens 'Premium Agriculture University'


[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Young-gwon] The Jeonbuk Namwon Agricultural Technology Center (Director Ko In-bae) announced on the 8th that it held the opening ceremony of the 13th Premium Agriculture University, which aims to foster professional agricultural managers, on the 7th.


This year's Premium Agriculture University consists of a total of 24 sessions by department, with 16 sessions held once a week for 4 hours each from the opening ceremony this month until mid-November, spanning about 6 months.


In addition, top experts in each field will be invited to provide systematic theory, field practice, and tours to help farming sites, including high-quality cultivation techniques, management and marketing, pruning practice, and discovery of Namwon traditional foods.


Namwon Premium Agriculture University was established in 2010 and has produced a total of 1,678 graduates to date.


This year, there are a total of 95 new students, and the Premium Agriculture University will conduct education from early March to mid-November. Graduates with excellent grades will complete more than 100 hours of coursework.


Ko In-bae, director of the Namwon Agricultural Technology Center, said, "We hope this will be an opportunity to strengthen the capabilities of trainees and increase farm income through customized field and theoretical education that enhances expertise and diversity in each field in response to the rapidly changing agricultural environment."
