[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Eco-friendly energy company E1 announced on the 8th that it held a donation ceremony for the Hope Charging Campaign at its headquarters in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

Since 2011, E1 has been conducting the 'Hope Charging Campaign,' which donates 105 million KRW annually to 21 disability welfare facilities nationwide through the Korea Association of Welfare Facilities for the Disabled. The campaign raises donations by having E1 Orange Card customers register as Hope Charging Supporters, and based on their usage at charging stations, E1 collects donations and additionally accumulates points equivalent to the customers' donation points.

The donated funds this time will be used to support clothing and footwear for users of disability welfare facilities in the second half of the year. At the ceremony, Jeon Jinman, Head of External Cooperation at E1, said, "We will continue to carry out social contribution activities that can provide practical help to people with disabilities." Jeong Seokwang, President of the Korea Association of Welfare Facilities for the Disabled, said, "E1 has supported improving the quality of life for people with disabilities for over 10 years," and added, "We ask for continued interest in the development of disability welfare."
