"Apply for Early Retirement of Old Agricultural Machinery" ... To Reduce Fine Dust in the Agricultural Sector

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Ulju-gun, Ulsan, is implementing an early retirement program for old agricultural machinery to reduce fine dust in the agricultural sector.

Applications for retirement can be submitted by visiting the Eup/Myeon Administrative Welfare Center from the 8th to the 24th, submitting the application form and related documents.

This project has a total budget of 280.8 million KRW and supports the early retirement of 37 agricultural machines.

Support ranges from a minimum of 1 million KRW to a maximum of 22.49 million KRW, depending on the production year and specifications.

Eligible applicants are owners of diesel tractors and combines produced by December 31, 2012, registered in the Nonghyup’s ‘Agricultural Tax-Free Fuel Management System,’ who have owned the machinery for more than six months and whose machines are in normal working condition.

Applicants must be agricultural machinery owners registered as residents in Ulsan at the time of application, with priority given to farmers who have addresses or farmland in Ulju-gun.
