[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] The Korean Academy of Medical Sciences (KAMS) announced on the 7th that it will hold the KAMS 2022 academic conference on the 16th and 17th of this month. This event is the first academic conference hosted by the Korean Academy of Medical Sciences, which comprises 192 member societies.
The conference, held under the theme "Communication, Empathy, and One Voice," focuses on strengthening the expertise of the Korean Academy of Medical Sciences, which leads the advancement of medicine in Korea and represents various medical societies. In particular, a comprehensive forum will be provided to discuss various medical issues that form the foundation of domestic medical development and policy together with related organizations.
The Korean Academy of Medical Sciences plans to hold joint sessions with major organizations such as the Korean Medical Association (Medical Policy Research Institute), the National Academy of Medicine of Korea, the Korean Association of Medical Colleges and Medical Schools, the Korean Council of Basic Medical Sciences, the Korean Institute of Medical Education and Evaluation, the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, and the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Medical Innovation Foundation to explore opportunities and measures for the advancement of Korea's medical field.
This academic conference will be held both online and offline at The-K Hotel in Seocho-gu, Seoul, and through the Korean Academy of Medical Sciences academic conference website. The pre-registration period for the conference is until the 15th, and members wishing to participate can register on the conference website within the period.
