[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, has decided to enhance its honor policies by raising the pride of veterans and providing preferential services through the "Serving Veterans Policy" that accompanies them until the end of their lives.
First, to mark the Month of Patriots and Veterans in June, the county will establish "Veteran Family Priority Counters" at the NongHyup Bank Cheongsong Branch, Cheongsong-gun office, and civil service offices in 8 towns and townships to provide convenience and proper respect to veterans.
Additionally, veterans will be given priority invitations to all events and performances, with seating arrangements made to show ceremonial respect. During major events, national ceremonies including moments of silence for the patriotic martyrs and war heroes will be conducted to foster an atmosphere of honor.
Yoon Kyung-hee, the governor of Cheongsong-gun, said, "Thanks to the noble sacrifices of the patriotic martyrs, our descendants enjoy today's freedom and prosperity," and added, "We will strive even harder to honor the veterans and help their families take pride in them."
