Hampyeong-gun Launches Joint Public-Private Price Stabilization Campaign


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Hampyeong County in Jeonnam announced on the 2nd that it conducted a public-private joint campaign to stabilize local prices together with the Hampyeong Cheonji Traditional Market Merchants Association and the Hampyeong Small Business Federation.


This event took place over two days, on the 26th and 27th of last month, at Hampyeong Cheonji Traditional Market to create an atmosphere of local price stabilization amid the ongoing high inflation that is increasing difficulties for the common people's economy.


Participants in the campaign wore sashes and carried placards to inform merchants and residents about ▲local price trends ▲promotion of using and newly applying to Good Price Stores ▲compliance with origin labeling and price display of agricultural and marine products.


Additionally, the county reselected six “Good Price Stores” (Baekma Hoegwan, Cheongjin Donggukbap, Ppoto Restaurant, Matgoeul Restaurant, Sora Restaurant, Haewol Chuksan Hoegwan) that contribute to price stabilization by refraining from excessive price increases.


A county official said, “Please use Good Price Stores to help stabilize prices,” and added, “We will continue to actively respond to soaring inflation through public-private cooperation.”
