[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] Jo Joo-bin and his accomplice Nam Kyung-eup, who produced sexually exploitative materials and distributed them on the Telegram 'Baksa Bang,' have been ordered by the court to compensate the victims with 50 million won.
According to the legal community on the 2nd, in September last year, Judge Ryu Hee-hyun of the Seoul Central District Court Civil Division 206 ruled in favor of the plaintiff in a damages lawsuit filed by the victims of the 'Baksa Bang' sexual exploitation materials against Jo Joo-bin and Nam Kyung-eup.
Jo Joo-bin did not appeal, and Nam Kyung-eup withdrew his appeal on the 19th of last month, confirming the ruling as final. Meanwhile, Jo Joo-bin is currently serving a 42-year prison sentence confirmed by the Supreme Court in October last year. Nam Kyung-eup's 15-year prison sentence was confirmed last month.
