The daily number of visitors to Cheong Wa Dae will increase from 39,000 to 49,000. The Cultural Heritage Administration’s Cheong Wa Dae Public Opening Promotion Team announced on the 2nd that they will improve the viewing environment by introducing a new reservation system (Cheong Wa Dae Opening website). Starting from the 3rd, application channels such as Naver, Kakao, and Toss will be unified to minimize inconvenience in the application process. Citizens who wish to visit can access the Cheong Wa Dae Opening website and select their desired viewing date (after the 12th). A Cultural Heritage Administration official explained, "Visitors can view on the selected date based on a first-come, first-served registration result, not a lottery system."

With this efficient system change, the daily visitor capacity will expand to 49,000 (including 1,000 on-site issued tickets). Each session will accommodate 8,000 visitors across six sessions. The maximum number of people per individual reservation will also increase from four to six. However, visiting hours will be reduced from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays will also be designated as closed days. A Cultural Heritage Administration official stated, "Seniors aged 65 and over, people with disabilities, and foreigners (limited to 1,000) who have difficulty with mobile or internet registration can receive viewing tickets at the Yeongbingwan information desk without a reservation."

From April 27 to the 31st of last month, approximately 574,000 people visited Cheong Wa Dae. Starting from the 2nd, visitors can climb Bukaksan Mountain via the Cheong Wa Dae-linked hiking trail, which may attract even more crowds. From the 10th to the 31st of last month, about 94,000 hikers visited Bukaksan Mountain, an increase of about seven times compared to the same period last year.
