[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Tae-min] In Yongsan-gu, Seoul, where development expectations have increased due to the relocation of the presidential office, 'Hannam The Hill' changed hands for over 10 billion KRW. This marks a price increase of more than 3.25 billion KRW in one year and is the highest-priced apartment transaction in Seoul this year.
According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's real transaction price disclosure system on the 31st, a 240㎡ (exclusive area) unit in 'Hannam The Hill' located in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, was sold for 11 billion KRW the day before. Compared to the real transaction price of 7.75 billion KRW in May last year, the price surged by 3.25 billion KRW in one year.
Other units in this complex are also changing hands at high prices. On the 16th, a 233㎡ unit was contracted for sale at 8.35 billion KRW, setting a new record. The previous highest price for this area was 5.95 billion KRW in April last year, which also represents a jump of over 2.4 billion KRW in one year. Earlier, a 235㎡ unit found a new owner last month for 8.5 billion KRW, breaking the previous highest price for that size.
Hannam-dong has also been the neighborhood with the most expensive apartments nationwide for eight consecutive years. Hannam The Hill gained fame for the highest-priced sales from 2014 to 2020 for seven years, and last year, a 268.95㎡ (2nd floor) unit in Park Hannam, located in the same neighborhood, was sold for 12 billion KRW on December 13, becoming the highest apartment sale price.
