[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] A fire broke out at an electronic parts factory in Jinyeong-eup, Gimhae-si, Gyeongnam on the 29th and was extinguished by firefighters who responded on the morning of the 30th.
The Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters received the report at around 2:29 PM on the 29th and deployed 192 personnel and 55 firefighting equipment from Hallim 119 Safety Center and Gimhae West Fire Station, extinguishing the fire completely at around 7:43 AM on the 30th.
According to the Fire Headquarters, a four-story factory building was completely burned down, destroying all production and stored items such as filters for refrigerators and washing machines.
Property damage of approximately 150 million won occurred, but there were no casualties as there were no weekend workers inside the factory.
Fire and police authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire based on the testimony of a factory employee who first witnessed the fire.
