Genians Launches Zero Trust Solution 'Genians ZTNA' for Cybersecurity

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Unified security platform company Genieons (CEO Dongbeom Lee) announced on the 30th the launch of its new cybersecurity paradigm security solution, ‘Genian Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA).’

‘Genian ZTNA’ is an optimized architecture for IT and security environments, a zero trust solution that strengthens information control functions. Based on the principle of continuously verifying everything and responding strongly, it provides basic functions such as ▲expanded control scope ▲operational convenience ▲service scalability ▲maximized visibility ▲network access control. It can respond integrally to expanded networks such as remote and cloud, strongly protecting users against encryption and malware threats.

By protecting various network environments and connection points, it ensures business continuity, simplifies integrated management through consistent security policies and continuous monitoring, enabling immediate security response and reducing investment costs.

With the rapid digital transformation worldwide, cyber security threats have significantly increased, with attacks exploiting implicit trust in internal network users by hijacking insider privileges. Incidents such as ‘Log4j,’ known as the worst vulnerability in IT history, and the ‘Lapsus’ case, which hacked major domestic and international big tech companies consecutively, are difficult to resolve with traditional security methods. To address these issues, zero trust architecture, which identifies and authenticates all subjects by considering potential threats from all users, devices, and applications and grants appropriate permissions, is gaining global attention.

According to Gartner, a US IT research firm, the global ZTNA market is expected to grow from $362 million (KRW 454.6 billion) in 2020 at an average annual growth rate of 35.8%, reaching $1.674 billion (KRW 2.1023 trillion) by 2025. It predicted significant market growth as it integrates with major security technologies to manage everything from user identity verification and internal authentication to cloud-based management. It also explained that companies worldwide are highly interested in strengthening user and device security through zero trust strategies based on the comprehensive visibility and authentication provided by Network Access Control (NAC).

Genieons CEO Dongbeom Lee said, “Genian ZTNA is not a single security solution but a next-generation security model that establishes customers’ IT and security environments into a zero trust system,” adding, “It will be officially unveiled globally at RSAC 2022, the world’s largest security expo.”
