[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyun-joo] A man in his 30s and a woman in her 40s were found dead inside a tent at a campsite on Yeongjongdo Island, Incheon.

According to the Jungbu Police Station in Incheon on the 29th, a report was received by 112 around 11:20 a.m. the previous day that a man in his 30s, Mr. A, and a woman in her 40s, Ms. B, were collapsed inside a tent at a campsite on Yeongjongdo Island, Jung-gu, Incheon.

When the police and 119 emergency medical team arrived at the scene, they were already deceased, and a gas heater was found inside the tent. The autopsy results suggested that they died from carbon monoxide poisoning.

The police believe that they turned on the gas heater and fell asleep, leading to the accident, and plan to request an autopsy from the National Forensic Service to determine the exact cause of death.

A police official stated, "It has been confirmed that Mr. A and Ms. B came camping alone," and added, "We are investigating the exact circumstances by questioning campsite staff and others."
