[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Nayeon] A story has been shared about an animal lover who spent tens of millions of won to create a special costume to look like their favorite dog breed.

On the 26th (local time), according to foreign media including The Independent, a Japanese man named Doko fulfilled his dream of transforming into an animal by commissioning a special costume company to make a Collie dog breed outfit.

The company held several meetings and fittings with Doko to create a costume that closely resembled an actual Collie. The costume took a total of 40 days to make, and the production cost was 2 million yen (approximately 20 million won).

After the costume was completed, Doko posted a video wearing the Collie outfit on his SNS with the caption, "I fulfilled my dream of becoming an animal."

The video showed Doko walking on all fours like a real Collie, shaking his front paws, and rolling on the floor. The video attracted attention with over 1.7 million views.

Netizens who watched the video left comments such as, "I would believe it was a real dog. The costume is well made," "At first, I didn't realize it was a person," and "I wonder how actual dogs would react if they saw this."

In an interview with Japan's Mynavi News, Doko said, "Among animals, I like cute animals that walk on four legs. I thought realistically a dog was suitable for making the costume, and I chose my favorite breed, the Collie, as the model."

He also said, "Although wearing the costume restricts my movements a bit, I am really happy and satisfied to have fulfilled my dream of becoming an animal."
