[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Ulsan Office of Education student athletes team is participating in the "51st National Youth Sports Festival," a nationwide student sports festival, from the 28th to the 31st.
This year marks the 51st National Youth Sports Festival, which has been vibrantly resumed after three years following the dispersed or scaled-down events due to COVID-19.
The sports festival is especially meaningful as it provides a venue where student athletes from across the country can gather and enjoy together.
The event is held throughout Gyeongsangbuk-do, and the Ulsan team is participating in 31 out of 36 events, including athletics and Taekwondo, with 501 athletes and about 380 officials and related personnel attending.
An official from the city education office said, "We will do our best to support performance improvement and safety management so that students can fully demonstrate their skills," and added, "We ask for more support and cheers for our student athletes."
The Ulsan Office of Education has been striving to revitalize school sports education by operating public sports clubs and hosting the Superintendent's Cup School Sports Club competition, aiming to establish sports activities not only focused on elite athlete development but also as activities that all students can enjoy and participate in.
