[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] The Korean Medical Association announced on the 27th that it conducted a free meal volunteer activity on the 26th at the Wongaksa Senior Free Meal Center near Tapgol Park in Jongno-gu, Seoul.

This event was the second phase of the 'Support Project for the Underprivileged to Overcome COVID-19,' carried out based on the National Assembly donation funds sponsored through the Community Chest of Korea. Baek Hyun-wook, Vice President of the Korean Medical Association (President of the Korean Women Doctors Association), Yang Hye-ran, Director of Social Participation (Professor of Pediatrics at Bundang Seoul National University Hospital), and other KMA executives participated together.

Vice President Baek said, “In a situation where free meal centers and volunteer activities have somewhat contracted due to COVID-19, I am glad that through today’s event, our neighbors in need could have a warm and hearty meal,” adding, “We will continue to create opportunities for doctors to carefully assist and look after the underprivileged people around us.”
