Professors, staff, and students who attended the opening ceremony of the 'ISE Lounge' are taking a commemorative photo.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Gyeongsang National University has established the ‘ISE Lounge’ on the first floor lobby of Engineering Building 1 at the Gajwa Campus.
The opening ceremony of the ISE Lounge was held on the morning of the 26th, attended by Ryu Seong-gi, Dean of the College of Engineering, Jeon Jeong-hwan, Head of the Department of Technology Management, as well as professors, staff, and students of the College of Engineering.
The ISE Lounge was transformed into a shared and communicative space where students can comfortably study and relax, supported by the Graduate School MOT Project Group. ISE stands for ‘Industrial & Systems Engineering.’
Dean Ryu Seong-gi of the College of Engineering congratulated, saying, “The learning capacity of students is also greatly influenced by their environment,” and added, “I hope this becomes a space that creates value for students and facilitates communication.”
Jeon Jeong-hwan, Head of the Department of Technology Management (MOT Project Group), said, “I believe the ISE Lounge will become an important space for communication among students,” and added, “I hope this space will not only be used during exam periods but will become a representative space of the College of Engineering at Gyeongsang National University that students use regularly.”
The College of Engineering at Gyeongsang National University plans to promote a ‘Shared Bookshelf Creation’ project, where professors and students write handwritten recommendations on books they own and share them so that anyone can browse.
