[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Osstem Implant (CEO Eom Taegwan), the world's number one implant sales company, announced on the 27th that the Asian Congress of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery 2022 (hereinafter ‘ACOMS2022’) will be held at its Seoul headquarters until the 28th.
‘ACOMS2022’ is one of the largest dental conferences in Asia and has successfully been hosted again in Korea this year after 22 years since it was last held in Korea in 2000. As the top global dental company in South Korea, Osstem Implant’s headquarters was selected as the venue for this global academic conference.
During the three-day event, dentists from 35 countries across Asia and around the world are expected to visit Osstem Implant’s headquarters. Online live streaming will also be provided through Osstem Implant’s own broadcasting technology support, and the total number of participants both online and offline is expected to reach several thousand.
An Osstem Implant official explained, “The selection of the venue was greatly influenced by Osstem Implant’s global brand power and the excellent resources of its headquarters, including a large auditorium with a capacity of 365 people, professional broadcasting equipment and technical staff for filming and multi-channel live streaming, and the geographical advantage of being close to the airport.”
Meanwhile, Osstem Implant has prepared a massive exhibition hall of 300 pyeong on the 2nd and 4th floors of its headquarters to coincide with the international academic event. This is the first and largest exhibition hall among domestic dental companies and is one of the largest in global dental companies. The exhibition hall is equipped with an environment where all Osstem Implant products, including implants, various dental medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and dental interiors, can be experienced 365 days a year.
Currently, Osstem Implant operates 30 overseas subsidiaries in 26 countries and conducts active sales activities through a total of 158 global sales channels in 88 countries, including dealer sales at its headquarters. Overseas sales accounted for 60% of Osstem Implant’s total sales of 824.7 billion KRW last year. Osstem Implant plans to establish new overseas subsidiaries in five countries, including Spain, this year and aims to increase the number of overseas subsidiaries to 50 by 2026 to leap forward as the world’s number one implant company.
