[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Hyundai Green Food announced on the 26th that it will operate the ‘Summer Food Hygiene Special Management System’ until the end of September.
?
The Summer Food Hygiene Special Management System, which Hyundai Green Food implements annually, applies strengthened hygiene management standards throughout the entire process, including raw material preprocessing, cooking, and serving, targeting all 500 group meal service sites in operation, and enhances hygiene inspections at these sites.
?
With the implementation of this system, Hyundai Green Food applies a separate hygiene management enhancement guide called ‘FS Critical Control Foods (CCFs)’ to group meal service sites. Through this, food preparation and supply are conducted according to manuals such as suspending the use of ingredients prone to spoilage in hot weather or adding heating and cooking processes during the period.
?
Additionally, on-site inspections to prevent hygiene accidents will be strengthened through its own Food Safety Research Institute. Using specialized inspection equipment such as temperature tracking devices and surface contamination meters, the hygiene level of each site will be measured, and on-site inspections will be conducted to remove potential hygiene risk factors in advance. Furthermore, inspection frequency will be expanded from once a month to daily or every other day, focusing on large group meal service sites.

A Hyundai Green Food official said, “With the recent easing of social distancing and the normalization of corporate work, interest in hygiene at group meal service sites is increasing,” and added, “We will strive to provide safe meals to customers by utilizing our group meal hygiene management capabilities and know-how.”
