32 Employees and Volunteers from 7 Companies Including AmorePacific Participate
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Volunteer Center announced on the 26th that it conducted a job mentoring program called "Cheongchun Job(talk)" for 160 young people, together with 32 employees from 7 companies of Yongsan Dragons, to help youth envision their future through meetings with senior professionals on the 25th.
Yongsan Dragons is a coalition volunteer group formed in 2018 by public, private, and academic sectors located in Yongsan-gu, working together to solve community issues. Following last year, to assist young people struggling with career paths, seven companies including the National Health Insurance Service Yongsan Branch, Samil Accounting Corporation, Seoul Yongsan Police Station, Amorepacific, CJ CGV, HDC Shilla Duty Free, HDC Hyundai Development Company, and Sookmyung Women's University joined forces.
This mentoring was held face-to-face for the first time since the lifting of social distancing measures, transitioning from the non-face-to-face format used during COVID-19. The youth visited companies of interest in person, indirectly experiencing the workplace atmosphere and spending time meeting with employee mentors. The mentoring was conducted in small groups, with one employee volunteer matched with 2 to 6 young people across a total of 24 job fields, lasting 120 minutes.
Meanwhile, the Seoul Volunteer Center has been operating a mentoring program since 2019 where employee volunteers share their knowledge and experience with young people preparing to enter society. This year, seven mentoring sessions will be held across various professions.
