[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Seoyul] Kolon Global is launching a 'Connected Car Service' that links homes and cars bidirectionally in collaboration with Hyundai Motor Group.
Kolon Global announced on the 25th that it has signed an agreement with Hyundai Motor Group and Kolon Benit to provide the 'Home to Car (Home to Car) and Car to Home (Car to Home) services.' The signing ceremony was attended by Ha Chunsik, Executive Director of Kolon Global, Kwon Haeyoung, Executive Director of Hyundai Kia Motors, and Ahn Jinsu, Executive Director of Kolon Benit.
The Home to Car and Car to Home services are technologies that integrate Kolon Global's home Internet of Things (IoT) platform 'Haneulchae IoK' with Hyundai Motor Group's connected car services to enable bidirectional control between homes and vehicles.
The Home to Car service allows control of car ignition, air conditioning, door locks, and more from the in-home wall pad through the 'Haneulchae IoK' platform. Conversely, the Car to Home service enables residents to monitor or control devices connected to the 'Haneulchae IoK' platform by operating the vehicle's infotainment terminal (AVNT) screen or using voice commands from outside. It can control home lighting, heating, gas valves, and induction cooktop shutoff.
A Kolon Global representative stated, "We will swiftly develop and apply cutting-edge technologies reflecting changes in residents' lifestyles."
