"Regulatory Response to the Chemical Substances Control Act, etc."... German LANXESS Holds Online Seminar

[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] German specialty chemicals company LANXESS announced on the 25th that it will hold the 'LANXESS Virtual Day 2022' online seminar on November 9-10. The seminar will cover domestic regulatory response measures such as the Chemical Substances Registration and Evaluation Act (Chemicals Control Act) and market trends.

This year's Virtual Day will conduct over 40 seminars focusing on 'sustainability' and 'consumer protection solutions' that protect people and the environment. Experts from around the world, including LANXESS management, will participate. Topics include quarantine and personal hygiene solutions, battery technology, and recycled materials.

In Korea, the seminar will cover ▲ LANXESS's know-how in responding to chemical substance regulations such as the Chemicals Control Act ▲ biocide regulations including the Act on the Safety Management of Household Chemical Products and Biocides (Chemical Product Safety Act) and LANXESS's industrial bio solutions ▲ livestock infectious disease prevention and quarantine solutions. LANXESS is the world's leading supplier of animal disinfectants, preservatives, and antimicrobials.

The seminar will also review global chemical industry trends. It aims to solve complex equations together involving climate change, carbon neutrality, strengthened regulations, and energy logistics crises. Matthias Zachert, Chairman of LANXESS, will personally conduct a seminar titled 'LANXESS's Business Strategy and Industry Outlook for Creating a Sustainable Future Amid Crisis.'

Board members Arno Borkowski and Dr. Herbert Pink will introduce carbon neutrality and sustainable product supply strategies. Regional representatives from Asia, North America, and Europe will share business status and growth strategies for each continent. Seungyoung Cho, CEO of LANXESS Korea, said, "We hope the seminar will be an opportunity for domestic clients and chemical industry professionals to comprehensively view global chemical industry agendas, regional industry trends, and insights from industry experts all at once."

The full seminar topics and schedule can be found on the LANXESS 'Virtual Day' webpage.
