Apple to Hold June WWDC Online... Partial Opening of Apple Park

[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] The 'Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC),' a festival for app developers around the world, will be held online from July 7 to 11 (Korean time) next month.

Apple announced on the 25th (Korean time) that it has sent out invitations for the WWDC 2022 event containing this information.

This year's event will basically be held online. Only some industry insiders and a small number of developers will be invited to Apple Park to attend. IT specialist magazine 9to5mac noted, "They will visit the newly established Developer Center at Apple Park for the first time," adding, "This is the first time since before the COVID-19 outbreak in 2019 that Apple Park has been opened to outsiders for offline events."

Developers and designers worldwide can explore the latest technologies, tools, and frameworks to be embedded in iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS at this free event. They can meet Apple engineers and designers in online labs and digital lounges to receive app and game development guidance.

The key keynote presentation is scheduled to take place at 10 a.m. local time on the opening day of the event, the 6th. It can be viewed on Apple's website, the Apple Developer app, the Apple TV app, and YouTube, and after the streaming ends, it will also be available as an on-demand video.

The Platform State of the Union program will be streamed through the Apple Developer website. The Apple Design Awards will also be held on the app developer website, and more than 150 in-depth session videos will be available.
