[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Pulmuone Foods announced on the 25th that it will release a limited edition popular summer dried noodles in collaboration with the native social networking service (SNS) Cyworld.


The target products are Pulmuone's representative summer dried noodles, ‘Memil Soba’ and ‘Taengtaeng Jjolmyeon’. They will be released as a special limited edition for Cyworld, and the product packaging features a design based on Cyworld’s first screen concept, the 'Miniroom'.


Memil Soba is an authentic Japanese-style dried noodle made with broth simmered for 6 hours and fragrant buckwheat noodles. The broth is made with katsuobushi stock combined with six kinds of vegetables and fruits, giving it a refreshing and clean taste. Pulmuone’s patented noodle-making technology is applied to add chewiness, and it is generously topped with seaweed and green onions, allowing easy enjoyment at home without preparing additional ingredients. Taengtaeng Jjolmyeon uses a matured sauce based on gochujang with sesame oil and various vegetables and fruits to bring out a deep umami flavor. The noodles are Pulmuone’s special dried noodles for jjolmyeon, air-dried instead of fried in oil, providing a chewy texture the more you chew.


The products are released in a limited quantity of 54,000 units and can be found at nationwide large discount marts both online and offline, as well as Pulmuone’s official online mall and open markets such as 11st and Coupang. To commemorate the product launch, Pulmuone will hold an instant lottery event for customers purchasing at some offline large discount stores, offering prizes.


A Pulmuone Foods official said, "Pulmuone has received great responses from the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z), who seek unique enjoyment through products reflecting various fun elements." He added, "We will continue to expand touchpoints with customers by releasing various collaborative products that offer not only taste but also visual enjoyment."
