[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Duyul] Do-ing Talent Development University Dongmyung University’s Department of Military Science held the formation ceremony of the ‘Young Generation! Spreading the Value of Freedom and Do-ing (Challenge·Experience·Practice)’ KFF Global Leaders Alliance with the Korea Freedom Federation Busan Branch on the 18th at the campus.
The ceremony was attended by professors of the Department of Military Science, all 130 students enrolled in the department, and key members of the Korea Freedom Federation Busan Branch.
Yoon Bangwon, Secretary General of the Korea Freedom Federation Busan Branch, said, “We look forward to and support the diverse and active activities of the Dongmyung University Department of Military Science KFF Global Leaders through the formation ceremony of the KFF Global Leaders Alliance for spreading the value of freedom and Do-ing among the young generation.”
The head of the Department of Military Science at Dongmyung University said, “We will do our best to further cooperate with the Korea Freedom Federation Busan Branch to strengthen education on defending freedom, peace, and unification, and to establish ourselves as a leading local university.”
Hong Sunwoo, the representative student who received the Global Leader appointment certificate, said, “The formation of the KFF Global Leaders Alliance aligns with the Do-ing (Challenge·Experience·Practice) program pursued by our Dongmyung University, and as a student representative, I will actively Do-ing.”
Kim Minju, a first-year student who received a scholarship certificate, said, “To become a great officer, I want to truly learn the value of youth freedom through various experiences with the Korea Freedom Federation.”
Since the 2022 academic year, the Department of Military Science at Dongmyung University has increased its enrollment from 30 to 40 students, adding 10 more.
They also operate the nation’s first Drone Education Research Center specialized for the Department of Military Science, enabling students to obtain national certifications.
Various club activities such as the “From Halla to Baekdu” program, military English education by native-speaking professors, and drone soccer are actively supported.
Starting from the 2023 admissions, the department plans to strengthen the scoring in the in-depth interview section conducted by the department to select outstanding students.
