TiRobotics "Expanding Logistics Robot Market with Autonomous Transport Robot Development Orders"

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Robot specialist company TiRobotics announced on the 24th that it has received orders for autonomous mobile robot (AMR) development from major domestic conglomerates.

The AMR ordered this time is a robot used in key semiconductor production processes. Unlike AGV robots that move along predetermined routes, it is an AMR-based autonomous logistics robot that can move without pre-setting the travel path.

The AMR robot uses cameras and various sensors to autonomously find targets or avoid obstacles, performing general tasks such as picking, handling, and sorting materials independently.

Recently, Samsung Electronics elevated its Robot Industrialization TF to a permanent organization and announced in August last year that it will invest 240 trillion won over the next three years in system semiconductors, bio, next-generation communications, artificial intelligence, and robotics, boosting growth in the robot industry.

According to Interact Analysis, a UK-based global market research firm, the global robot market penetration rate of mobile robots (MR) is expected to exceed 30% by 2025, with the MR market being reorganized around autonomous mobile robots (AMR).

TiRobotics CEO Ahn Seungwook said, “Currently, our AGV and AMR robots are supplied for logistics warehouse and production line logistics robot purposes, but in the future, they can be applied to various fields such as ports, unmanned parking robots, and unmanned delivery robots. We will expand the market through continuous technology development.”
