Silla University Achieves Major Wins Including Grand Prix at the 'World Beauty Festival'

The Beauty Design Track of the Department of Future Convergence at Silla University participated in the '12th World Beauty Festival (WBF)' held on the 21st, hosted by the Korea Beauty and Health Federation Central Association.

The department produced a large number of awardees at the competition, including 3 grand prize winners, 4 grand award winners, 5 gold medalists, 6 silver medalists, 8 bronze medalists, and 1 National Assembly Member Award recipient.

At the competition, which involved talents from various beauty fields, 37 students from Silla University showcased their skills and talents in 52 categories, including hair, face makeup, eyelash extensions, nail art, and skin care.

As a result, Hwang Mun-young in the face makeup category, Yoo Eun-joo in the hair category (iron perm), and Kim Hyun-joo in the eyelash extension category were selected as grand prize winners, the highest honor of the competition, each receiving certificates, trophies, and prizes.

Silla University won a total of 27 medals, the highest number, and was also selected for the special award of 'Best Educational Institution.'

Yoo Eun-joo, grand prize winner in the hair category, said, "Preparing for the competition was tough, but it was a great opportunity to fully demonstrate the skills I have learned so far," adding, "Thanks to the support of the seniors, juniors, and professors who did their best together, I was able to achieve good results."

Professor Yang Soo-mi stated, "We will focus on nurturing the best beauty talents by operating a curriculum faithful to future trends centered on practical work."

The Beauty Design Track of the Department of Future Convergence at Silla University operates as a four-year regular university degree program in beauty, establishing an innovative education system centered on job skills and competencies to cultivate competitive talents leading K-Beauty.
