[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Kim Sang-ho, the Democratic Party candidate for Mayor of Hanam, announced the 'Future Hanam Vision 64' pledge, which centers on the vision for Hanam's economic growth in the era of a 10 trillion won budget.

'Future Hanam Vision 64' refers to the 64 pledges, large and small, across six sectors that candidate Kim Sang-ho aims to achieve in Hanam City during his four-year term.

Kim's pledges focus on creating 'Hanam Valley' to realize a successful economic city and on the transportation sector, which will usher in the era of five subway lines.

On the 24th, Kim held a press conference at his campaign office in Sinjang-dong and stated, "Over the next four years, we will accelerate growth and elevate Hanam to a mature society stage."

The 'Future Hanam Vision 64' pledges are organized into six sectors: ▲ Early promotion of Line 3, direct connection of Line 9, introduction of express stations ▲ Creation of Hanam Valley for advanced industries ▲ Establishment of a global top-tier educational complex including attracting Carnegie Mellon University ▲ Construction of a water thermal energy system and realization of carbon neutrality ▲ Customized welfare such as public postpartum care ▲ Development of Misa Island Ecological Cultural Sports Park.

In particular, the vision for Hanam's economic growth in the 10 trillion won budget era is to be realized through the creation of Hanam Valley centered on the 4th industrial revolution and the establishment of an advanced industrial ecosystem.

Kim promised, "Since we have already attracted Asia's largest metaverse company and a bio company with sales of 1 trillion won, we will build Hanam Valley to continuously attract companies, creating youth jobs and employment effects."

In the transportation sector, which will drive this, the core pledges include the direct connection of Subway Line 9, introduction of express stations, early promotion of Line 3, Wirye-Sinsa Line, and extension of GTX-D to Hanam.

Plans include establishing circular bus routes connecting key stations, including those linked with the subway, and expanding demand-responsive transportation in underserved areas.

Regarding education, Kim proposed attracting Carnegie Mellon University, a prestigious American research university in the field of artificial intelligence with which a mutual letter of intent has already been exchanged, to the Gam-il district to establish an international education foundation.

Kim pledged, "To respond to the climate crisis, we will introduce a water thermal energy system to achieve carbon neutrality and reduce electricity bills by 20%." He also presented goals to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and limit the global average temperature rise to 1.5 degrees Celsius by 2030.

In welfare, he promised to build a welfare system without blind spots for children, the disabled, the elderly, youth, and newlyweds. In culture, pledges include the development of Misa Dangjeong Ecological Cultural Sports Park and the construction of a children's cultural arts experience center.

Kim said, "Politicians are evaluated by the fulfillment of their pledges, and the results belong to the citizens, so I clearly feel the responsibility for policy elections," adding, "Issuing pledges without feasibility is deceiving voters, so I trust the wise judgment of Hanam citizens."
