60-Year-Old Mother Arrested for Killing Daughter with Brain Lesion Disorder by Giving Sleeping Pills A woman in her 60s was arrested by the police in Incheon for killing her daughter in her 30s, who had a brain lesion disability, by giving her sleeping pills.


[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Lee Gyehwa] A woman in her 60s was arrested by the police for killing her 30-year-old biological daughter, who suffered from brain lesion disability, by giving her sleeping pills.


On the 24th, the Yeonsu Police Station in Incheon announced that they had urgently arrested Ms. A (in her 60s) on suspicion of murder.


Ms. A is suspected of giving sleeping pills to her daughter Ms. B (in her 30s) at their apartment residence in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, around 4:30 PM the previous day, causing her death.


It was investigated that after giving a large amount of sleeping pills to Ms. B, Ms. A also took sleeping pills herself in an attempt at suicide.


Ms. A was discovered by her son who came to the house and was transported to the hospital by the 119 emergency medical team that arrived on the scene. She is currently reported to be in stable condition.


Ms. B was reported to have been suffering from terminal colon cancer and a severe brain lesion disability classified as grade 1.


The police plan to investigate Ms. A in detail regarding the motive and circumstances of the crime and intend to apply for an arrest warrant after further investigation.
