[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Air Busan is conducting a special fare promotion for flights to Ulsan in collaboration with the Korea Tourism Organization and Korea Airports Corporation to revitalize local tourism.

Air Busan will apply special fares to Gimpo-Ulsan tickets and sell them from 11 a.m. on the 24th until July 10.

The special promotion is being held to revive regional airports, which have been stagnant due to COVID-19, and to promote local tourism, with special discounts applied only to Gimpo departure flights bound for Ulsan.

The special airfare is 37,300 KRW per person for a one-way total fare, which is more than a 50% discount compared to the published fare.

The boarding period is from the 28th of this month to July 22, and detailed information can be found on the Air Busan website and mobile web/app.

The ‘Ulsan Taehwagang National Garden,’ included in Korea’s Top 100 Tourist Attractions, is composed of more than 20 themed gardens with six themes: ecology, bamboo, seasons, aquatic plants, participation, and hibiscus.

The Yeongnam Alps, famous as a mountain tourism destination, and ‘Ganjeolgot,’ known for its sunrise views and exotic scenery with yellow canola flowers and white windmills, are also considered popular tourist spots in Ulsan.

An Air Busan official said, “We will plan various special promotions to support the normalization of the stagnant local tourism industry as much as possible.”

Air Busan used to operate two round trips daily on the Gimpo-Ulsan route but will temporarily increase flights in May and June.

Flights will operate ▲ three round trips on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday ▲ two round trips on Tuesday and Wednesday ▲ four round trips on Friday and Sunday.

Air Busan plans to operate 364 flights on the Gimpo-Ulsan route over the two months of May and June, supplying a total of 65,520 seats to enhance passenger air travel convenience.
