LH Land and Housing Museum, Open for Visits on Sundays Too

Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 24th that it will operate the Land and Housing Museum, including the Housing and Urban History Hall located at its headquarters in Jinju, Gyeongnam, on Sundays as well.

The Land and Housing Museum, which was previously open only from Monday to Saturday, decided to expand weekend operations due to an increase in visitors and continuous group tour inquiries from daycare centers and schools after the opening of the Housing and Urban History Hall in April.

The museum is open for viewing from Monday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and admission is free.

The Land and Housing Museum is a specialized museum related to land and housing where visitors can see Korea's residential culture and architectural technology at a glance. It currently houses about 50,000 archaeological and folk artifacts.

On the second floor of the Land and Housing Museum, the first exhibition hall displays five houses from ancient times to the modern era, and the second exhibition hall exhibits building materials and tools, allowing visitors to observe the flow of Korean architectural technology.

A special exhibition titled "Apartments, Embracing a New Life" is currently being held on the second floor.

The Housing and Urban History Hall, newly opened on the first floor in April, showcases the history of housing and urban development in Korea from the establishment of the Republic of Korea to the present. It consists of a total of four exhibition zones, where visitors can explore the historical background, national policies, and LH’s efforts in creating housing and cities through videos, infographic walls, and various other methods.
