Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation Greatly Simplifies Application for Youth Welfare Points

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Starting next month, applicants for youth welfare points will no longer need to submit documents such as resident registration extracts.

The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation announced on the 24th that by linking with the public MyData service, it has become possible to verify applicant information without documents, so from next month, when applying for 'Youth Welfare Points,' applicants will not need to submit resident registration extracts or documents such as the four major social insurance subscription records.

However, documents related to health insurance premiums are currently not supported by the system and must be issued and submitted directly.

The Youth Welfare Points program provides welfare points worth 1.2 million KRW annually to youths aged 18 to 34 residing in Gyeonggi-do who work at least 36 hours per week at small and medium-sized enterprises, small business owners, or non-profit organizations in Gyeonggi-do and earn a monthly salary of 2.9 million KRW or less.

Participants are recruited three times a year, selecting 10,000 people each in June, August, and November.

The foundation plans to apply the public MyData service for the recruitment of participants in the 2nd and 3rd Youth Welfare Points programs (August and November) and the Small and Medium Enterprise Youth Worker Support Program (October) starting with this application period.

In the second half of the year, it is expected that the application of public MyData will expand to include submission of documents related to health insurance premiums, improving convenience for applicants.
