BGF Retail Partners with GS Retail to Launch Convenience Store Exclusive Beer
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] HiteJinro is launching two convenience store-exclusive beers (500ml cans).
HiteJinro announced on the 24th that, in collaboration with BGF Retail and GS Retail, it will exclusively release ‘Crown Beer’ and ‘Gotsaeng Bomb Beer’ at CU and GS25 convenience stores, respectively, on the 25th.
Crown Beer was developed together with BGF Retail under the concept of “the premium original ale made by Korea’s first beer company.” The packaging design utilizes the crown symbol, which has been iconic since Crown Beer’s first release in 1952. It is currently HiteJinro’s only ale-type beer, characterized by a rich citrus aroma made from 100% aroma hops.
Gotsaeng Bomb Beer was developed in collaboration with GS Retail’s ‘Gotsaeng Planning - New Product Planning Team.’ It was created for so-maek (a mix of soju and beer) enthusiasts and is a lager-type beer with an alcohol content of 6%, which internal research found to be the most delicious for so-maek. It allows consumers to enjoy a clean so-maek taste with just one can, without needing to mix. The packaging is designed to represent so-maek, with beer bubbles inside a soju bottle.
