[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] ○…‘Match Queen’ Hong Jeong-min (20, CJ OnStyle) has jumped to world ranking 78th.
In the weekly women's golf world ranking officially announced on the morning of the 24th (Korean time), she received 1.40 points, rising an impressive 35 spots from 113th last week. On the 22nd, at the final day of the Doosan Match Play Championship (total prize money 800 million KRW) held at Radenna Golf Course in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province (par 72, 6,350 yards), she defeated Lee Ye-won (19, KB Financial Group) by 1 hole in the final. This was her first career win since debuting on the regular tour last year.
With no LPGA Tour events held, there was no change in the top rankings.
