Anyone Can Participate on the 28th
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] DGB Daegu Bank, celebrating its 55th anniversary, will hold the ‘DGB Restore: UPCYCLE’ event on the 28th at the open plaza of its headquarters, featuring used goods sharing, recycling experience booths, and an eco-friendly product flea market.
The event will take place at the open plaza of the headquarters located at Daegu Bank Intersection, stretching from Exit 2 of Daegu Bank Station on Daegu Subway Line 2 to the lobby entrance of the DGB Daegu Bank headquarters in Suseong-dong, and is free for all citizens to participate.
To widely utilize the open plaza as a space for local residents on the occasion of the 55th anniversary, DGB Daegu Bank emphasized ‘eco-friendliness’ in its first-ever flea market event, including free regular performances and flea markets throughout the year.
There will be a free event where old electronic device chargers are exchanged for new ones, and eco-friendly detergent is provided in empty bottles. Customers who donate unused books or clothes will also receive kitchen detergent or eco-friendly garbage bags.
The event will include a used goods trading ‘Restore’ corner where participants can join the ‘Anabada’ movement, a one-day class experience using recycled materials, and a flea market featuring specialized sellers of eco-friendly products.
Citizens wishing to participate in the used goods trading Restore can bring their used items (excluding food and beverages, with a selling price under 50,000 KRW) and freely sell them at the open plaza.
A DGB Daegu Bank official said, “We want to share the open space at the headquarters, which was previously exclusive to employees, with local residents,” adding, “We hope this event will serve as an opportunity for DGB Daegu Bank and the local community to get closer and communicate by becoming direct sellers and buyers.”
