SMEC, Participates in 'SIMTOS 2022' with Largest Scale Ever... Showcases Robot Automation Solutions and New Products

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] SMEC announced on the 23rd that it will participate in SIMTOS 2022, the largest domestic production manufacturing technology exhibition, with the largest scale ever to showcase its robot automation solution technology and new products.

This exhibition will be held for the first time in four years from the 23rd to the 27th at the KINTEX exhibition center. SMEC will participate with the concept of SMART (intelligent solutions), MAN FRIENDLY (user-friendly), ECO (eco-friendly), and CO WORK (collaboration), utilizing the SMEC initials.

SMEC will exhibit a total of about 30 machines, including 17 MCTs and 13 lathes, featuring 8 new products integrated with enhanced technology.

Among the new products are the 5-axis machining center (MVF 5000), which reduces non-cutting time, and the hybrid machining center (HYST Series) with improved cutting capability. An unmanned automation system combined with the EROWA transfer robot will also be introduced, presenting intelligent solutions. This is a workcell development solution that implements virtual machine tool technology integrating equipment structure, commercial controllers, and machining processes, and applies machine tool intelligence technology based on virtual machine tool technology.

A SMEC official stated, "Due to strong sales in the domestic and international machine tool markets, we achieved record-high sales in the first quarter," and emphasized, "Through participation in this exhibition, we will strengthen our sales network and showcase new products and solutions integrated with SMEC’s competitive technology in line with the trends of machine tool intelligence and digitalization, aiming to grow as a specialized smart manufacturing solution company."?
