Waves of Nostalgic Pop Songs and 7080 Hits Unite Residents and Tourists as One
[Gurye=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yuk Miseok] On the 23rd, Jeollanam-do Gurye-gun announced that the nostalgic busking performance blending the emotions of the History and Culture Center, held on the 21st, was successfully completed with the participation of residents and visitors.
Visitors who came by bus from Mokpo Maritime University meaningfully toured all the exhibition halls, including the planned exhibition hall and the third hall of the History and Culture Center, then joined the busking, clapping and singing along to the songs, fully immersed in the 70s and 80s wave, creating a spectacular scene.
One visitor who participated in the event said, “I was deeply moved as I immersed myself in songs and pop music that evoke old memories while being close to nature.”
A county official said, “We plan to hold busking performances again in the second half of the year around the Jirisan History and Culture Center, providing healing time for residents and tourists to recover their body and mind exhausted by COVID-19.”
He added that recently, the opening of the cafeteria, a resting place in the History and Culture Center, nostalgic school uniform experiences, Jirisan women’s clothing experiences, and the Infant Forest Festival have attracted many visitors from outside the area, bringing vitality.
Also, during the summer vacation, two nationwide teacher training sessions are planned, and recruitment of trainees is currently underway.
