[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] On Monday the 23rd, the daytime high temperature will rise to 32 degrees Celsius in Daegu and Daejeon, and 30 degrees Celsius in Seoul.

Under the influence of high pressure, it will be mostly clear, and temperatures will rise due to sunlight, making it very hot during the day. The daytime high temperatures will be 32 degrees in Daejeon, Cheongju, and Daegu; 31 degrees in Chuncheon and Andong; 30 degrees in Seoul and Gwangju; 29 degrees in Suwon and Jeonju; 26 degrees in Busan, Ulsan, Pohang, Yeosu, and Jeju; 25 degrees in Incheon; and 24 degrees in Busan.

On this day, the highest apparent temperature will rise to 31 degrees mainly in the Gyeongbuk region and the eastern part of Jeonnam. The Korea Meteorological Administration announced in the previous day's heatwave impact forecast that the general public should be 'cautious,' while the elderly and those with chronic illnesses should be at the 'warning' level. The temperature difference between day and night in inland areas will be very large, ranging from 15 to 20 degrees.

The Korea Meteorological Administration stated, "People should wear light clothing and carry parasols, hats, and water bottles, and vulnerable groups such as infants, the elderly, and pregnant women should pay attention to health management." They added, "At outdoor workplaces, cool and clean water should be provided to ensure sufficient hydration, and shaded areas for rest should be prepared."

In the metropolitan area, fine dust concentration will rise to a 'bad' level due to stagnant air. Other regions are expected to have fine dust levels ranging from good to moderate. Gangwon Yeongseo, Chungcheong region, Gwangju, and Jeonbuk are expected to have temporarily 'bad' levels in the morning, and the Yeongnam region at night.

Fog with visibility less than 1 km will form in the central region and Jeolla region, and fog will be denser than surrounding areas on the west coast, in the cooler Gangwon mountain areas, and eastern Jeonbuk, so caution is advised for traffic safety.
