Forest area of 0.017 hectares lost
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] A fire broke out near the entrance of the Bukhansan hiking trail in Ui-dong, Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, around 5 p.m. on the 22nd.
According to the fire and forestry authorities, the fire at Bukhansan in Ui-dong, Seoul, was extinguished in about an hour. Although 0.017 hectares of forest were damaged by the fire, there were no casualties.
The fire department reported that 89 personnel and 20 pieces of equipment were deployed. The fire department is investigating the exact number of people involved in the fire.
