Lee Jun-seok: "Biden Visited Korea Before Japan and Met Yoon... Feels Like National Prestige Has Changed"

"The feeling that South Korea's national stature has changed just by changing one president"

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] On the 22nd, Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, commented on the South Korea-US summit, saying, "President Biden came to Korea before Japan, held a summit with President Yoon Seok-yeol, and had a dinner," adding, "It feels like the national prestige of the Republic of Korea has changed just by changing one president."

Lee said at a campaign rally in Yeongcheon, Gyeongbuk, that morning, "I was also there, and I was truly proud."

He added, "In this election, the Yoon Seok-yeol administration talks about freedom, fairness, and common sense. That is why the younger generation is increasingly supporting our People Power Party and the Yoon Seok-yeol government," and appealed for support for the ruling party candidate, saying, "Our President Yoon Seok-yeol is a person who does not break promises. He is someone who keeps his word. Even if criticized, he will say what needs to be said."

He continued, "All the promises made for Yeongcheon will be fulfilled through the combined efforts of Representative Lee Man-hee, Yeongcheon mayoral candidate Park Young-hwan, and Gyeongbuk governor candidate Lee Cheol-woo," emphasizing, "I also promise. I will always prioritize and actively support the matters these individuals request from the central party for the development of Yeongcheon. I will also become a helper for Yeongcheon's development."
