[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The "Gwanak District Triangle Squad" consisting of Oh Shin-hwan, Yoo Jong-pil, and Lee Haeng-ja has begun their campaign.
To support Lee Haeng-ja, the People Power Party candidate for Gwanak District Mayor, former two-term National Assembly member Oh Shin-hwan and former two-term Gwanak District Mayor Yoo Jong-pil have joined forces in Gwanak.
On the 21st, the three conducted a vehicle campaign around Bongcheon-dong for the June 1 local elections.
They appealed, "This time, let's replace the Democratic Party local government that has monopolized Gwanak District."
Lee Haeng-ja, candidate for Gwanak District Mayor, said, "The reality of Gwanak is largely a problem created by the one-party dictatorship of the Democratic Party, which has effectively monopolized local politics," emphasizing, "To change the landscape of Gwanak and improve the lives of Gwanak residents, we must start by changing the people."
If elected as Gwanak District Mayor, Lee promised to ▲ efficiently allocate the budget of Gwanak, which has a low financial independence ratio, focusing on future preparedness rather than temporary demands ▲ actively promote redevelopment and reconstruction to improve poor residential environments ▲ actively support school education expenses so that quality education can be received in a good environment ▲ actively install public parking lots in densely populated residential areas ▲ resolve parking difficulties in residential neighborhoods ▲ actively promote policies for youth entertainment and employment ▲ promote the best childcare in Gwanak ▲ and actively pursue southwestern Seoul development together with Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon.
Former Gwanak District Mayor Yoo Jong-pil said, "It has only been a few days since the inauguration of President Yoon Seok-youl's government," adding, "The current National Assembly is in a situation where the ruling party is in the minority, making it very difficult for the Yoon administration to carry out state affairs. Overcoming these difficulties and addressing pressing issues such as North Korea and nuclear power restoration makes this local election very important."
He also appealed, "We must ensure the election of People Power Party candidates: No. 2 candidate Oh Se-hoon for Seoul Mayor, Lee Haeng-ja for District Mayor, and city and district council members in this local election to support the Yoon administration," emphasizing, "If we fail to achieve a landslide victory in this local election, the Yoon administration could face significant problems in managing the country's affairs. The resulting damage will directly affect the people and residents, so I ask for the full support of the residents to ensure the election of Lee Haeng-ja, the People Power Party District Mayor candidate, as well as city and district council members."
Former National Assembly member Oh Shin-hwan stated, "In the upcoming June 1 local election, we must change the Gwanak District Mayor, which has been monopolized by the Democratic Party until now. The candidate who can bring new change to the adverse effects of long-term rule is Lee Haeng-ja, the first female candidate in Gwanak and candidate No. 2 of the People Power Party."
He added, "Lee Haeng-ja is a clean and well-prepared candidate. I believe this local election will be a critical turning point deciding whether Gwanak's development regresses 10 years or advances 10 years into the future," and said, "Especially, as the ruling party's candidate, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, and through bipartisan cooperation, she is a candidate who will dramatically change the stagnated development of Gwanak. For that, I hope for the wise choice and full support of Gwanak residents in this local election."
