Spokesperson Kang In-seon stated in a press release on the same day, "We will engage in closer dialogue and cooperation with the opposition party, a partner in state affairs, to successfully lead the government." The confirmation bill for nominee Han Deok-su was approved by a secret ballot, with 208 votes in favor, 36 against, and 6 abstentions out of 250 members present.

This comes 47 days after President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol nominated Han on the 3rd of last month. From the time President Yoon submitted the confirmation bill to the National Assembly on his inauguration day, it took only ten days, making Han the first prime minister of the Yoon Seok-yeol administration and the 48th prime minister overall.
