Cheating Detected Among Students of Chosun University College of Medicine During Midterm Exams

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Students of the College of Medicine at Chosun University were disciplined after being caught cheating on their midterm exams.

According to Chosun University on the 20th, it was confirmed that five third-year students in the College of Medicine committed cheating during the midterm exams held earlier this month.

When a report of cheating was received during the online written exam for the clinical practice course, the university held a meeting involving professors and students to verify the facts. Additionally, on the 19th, a general meeting was held with all third-year students to hear their opinions.

The students who cheated received a score of zero on the written exam. According to Chosun University's academic regulations, if a student commits cheating, the subject is graded as an F. The College of Medicine requires students who receive an F in any subject to repeat the academic year.

Accordingly, it is reported that a student guidance committee will be convened to initiate disciplinary procedures, including decisions on repeating the year.
