[Asia Economy Culture Young Intern Reporter] In an apartment complex in Taean-gun, Chungnam, a 7-year-old boy and his mother in their 40s were injured after being bitten by two dangerous dogs.
According to the Chungnam Fire Headquarters, around 4:20 PM on the 19th, the mother and child were playing in an apartment complex in Taean-gun when they were attacked by two dogs. The boy was bitten on the face and other areas, and his condition is reported to be serious.
The Chungnam Fire Headquarters transported the two people to a nearby hospital using a doctor helicopter, and the dispatched 119 emergency responders and police captured the two dogs nearby.
The police confirmed through an implanted identification chip that the dogs were pets owned by a resident of a detached house near the apartment.
Among the two captured dogs, one was identified as a Pit Bull Terrier, classified as a dangerous dog.
The police stated that they are reviewing nearby closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage to determine how the dogs escaped from the house and entered the apartment complex, and plan to book the dog owner, a man in his 40s, on charges of violating the Animal Protection Act.
