Korea National Oil Corporation is delivering 200 boxes of agricultural and marine products packages to the Jung-gu Office in Ulsan for underprivileged neighbors.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Korea National Oil Corporation donated agricultural and marine product packages worth 10 million won to isolated neighbors such as elderly living alone households.
On the 19th, the Oil Corporation announced that it delivered 200 boxes containing agricultural and marine products through Ulsan Jung-gu Office.
The package delivery event has been held since 2020 to support both isolated neighbors struggling due to the impact of COVID-19 and small merchants in traditional markets.
The packages, created in collaboration with the Taehwa General Market Merchants Association, contain nine items including side dishes such as seasoned black beans and perilla leaves, as well as seaweed and sesame oil, considering the preferences of the elderly.
The delivery ceremony was attended by Yoon Young-chan, Deputy Mayor of Jung-gu, Cho Seong-sang, General Affairs Director of Korea National Oil Corporation, and Lee Won-kyung, Fundraising Project Manager of Ulsan Community Chest of Korea.
Cho Seong-sang, General Affairs Director of Korea National Oil Corporation, said, “We hope the package boxes will provide a small help to neighbors and small merchants struggling due to the COVID-19 aftermath and also contribute to promoting the consumption of local agricultural and marine products.”
This year as well, the Oil Corporation has been conducting various social contribution activities to support marginalized groups in need, such as visiting municipal nursing homes for Lunar New Year greetings, providing living expenses support for multicultural families, and hiring disabled sports staff.
