"Give Me the Money" Female Clerk Fights Off Robber Armed with a Weapon Using a Kitchen Knife

The Jeonnam Police Agency announced on the 19th that they arrested Mr. A (in his 20s) on suspicion of attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Mr. A is suspected of attempting to rob cash stored in a safe by threatening a mart clerk in Muan, Jeonnam with a weapon on the 27th of last month, but the attempt failed.

At the time, the female clerk pretended to comply and took out a fruit knife she had hidden under the cash register to defend herself, and Mr. A fled by car.

The police analyzed closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage to identify the vehicle number and the suspect’s appearance, and made an emergency arrest 30 minutes after the incident at an intersection in Dongmyeong-dong, Mokpo City.

A police official stated, "Initial response is crucial in such cases. If similar incidents occur in the future, we will cooperate with police stations to ensure immediate arrest."
