[Asia Economy, Reporter Na Juseok] On May 19, Park Honggeun, floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, declared, "The bus of cooperation and trust has already left due to the excessive greed of President Yoon Sukyeol and the People Power Party." Park also referenced the concept of "justice prevails in the end" and indicated his intention to hold those responsible through the confirmation vote for Prime Minister nominee Han Ducksoo.

At the policy coordination meeting held at the National Assembly that day, Park mentioned the appointments of Yoon Jaesoon, Presidential Secretary for General Affairs, and Lee Siwon, Presidential Secretary for Public Discipline, stating, "President Yoon pushed ahead with these appointments despite this personnel disaster," and criticized, "In just ten days, fairness and common sense are gone, and there is no parliamentary democracy."

He added, "Even Chun Doohwan, whom President Yoon praised for his political skills, would always talk about justice. I am concerned about how much Yoon Sukyeol will deceive the public and act hypocritically."

Regarding the appointment of Justice Minister Han Donghoon and the advancement of prosecutors with a background in special investigations, Park stated, "Except for the fact that prosecutors are replacing soldiers, this is a complete regression to past conservative administrations," and described it as "the full realization of a prosecutor-dominated state."

He continued, "Last week, there were behind-the-scenes negotiations between the ruling and opposition parties regarding the confirmation vote for nominee Han, but even the most reasonable and common-sense demands were rejected. They are holding onto the nomination of Jeong Hoyoung for Minister of Health and Welfare, which has no value or meaning anymore, as if it is some great secret plan. However, due to the excessive greed of President Yoon and the People Power Party, the bus of cooperation and trust has already left."

Regarding nominee Han, Park stated, "He has blurred the line between public and private interests himself, making it impossible for him to serve again as Prime Minister, who should be a role model for public officials in Korea. He has been reduced to a mere supporting role for the appointment of Han Donghoon as Justice Minister, which the People Power Party prioritized above all else. Furthermore, due to the irresponsible strategic choices and excessive greed of President Yoon and the People Power Party, nominee Han himself has no choice but to take on that role." He added, "All these situations are self-inflicted, a natural consequence, and justice prevailing in the end. The Democratic Party will discuss the confirmation issue tomorrow, not based on political gain or loss, but responsibly in accordance with fairness, common sense, and the expectations of the public."
