2023 National Budget Securing Progress Check

[Muju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Muju County announced on the 19th that it held a 2023 national budget securing progress review meeting.

At the 2023 national budget securing progress review meeting chaired by Acting County Governor Kim Hee-ok, the possibility of securing budgets for major projects for next year's national funding was analyzed and response directions were discussed.

The major projects include △Establishment of the International Taekwondo Military Academy △Installation project of public wastewater treatment facilities in Anseong Industrial Complex △Improvement project of Masan natural disaster risk zones △Expansion project of Muju public sewage treatment facilities, totaling 64 projects, with a 2023 national budget securing target amount of 98 billion KRW.

Since the budget allocation by ministries will be completed by the end of May, Acting County Governor Kim Hee-ok and related officials plan to visit central government ministries and make every effort to ensure that the national budget is definitely reflected.

Acting County Governor Kim Hee-ok emphasized, "Timing is the most important factor in securing national funds," and said, "Please actively strive not to miss the necessary timing according to the national budget allocation schedule and to ensure that the originally targeted projects are reflected."

Meanwhile, next year's national budget will be submitted to the Ministry of Economy and Finance by the end of May after each ministry compiles the projects applied for by local governments.

Afterwards, the government budget reorganized through the Ministry of Economy and Finance's review will be submitted to the National Assembly by September 3, and after the National Assembly's deliberation and resolution process, it will be finalized by December 2.
