[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] KH Construction is showing strong performance. As stocks related to the reconstruction of Ukraine, which is at war with Russia, are collectively rising, interest in KH Construction seems to be increasing.
At 10:35 a.m. on the 19th, KH Construction was trading at 1,160 won, up 14.29% from the previous day.
Earlier, on the 11th, KH Construction attended the launch ceremony and donation event for medical volunteer support for Ukrainian refugees organized by the international medical volunteer organization Green Doctors Foundation and donated 10 million won. The Green Doctors Foundation medical support team will visit war refugee camps in the Polish border area near Ukraine until the 20th to provide medical support activities. The Green Doctors Foundation, along with BNK Busan Bank and KB Kookmin Bank, prepared medicines necessary for treating refugees.
Kang Jeong-sik, CEO of KH Construction, said, "Considering the difficulties faced by Ukrainian refugees and children who have lost their homes due to the war, we made this donation from a humanitarian perspective," adding, "We hope to help the Ukrainian people overcome their hardships."
KH Construction was established in 2004 with the purpose of civil engineering, architectural pile construction, related technical consulting and services, earthwork business, and boring grouting construction. It developed the PF method, the first in Korea, and proprietary equipment implementing the SAP method that maximizes the use of domestic geological conditions. The Ext-Pile, first launched in 2004, is a product that reduces the cost of PHC pile construction among foundation works at construction sites and has steadily grown as a major product to this day. KH Construction receives orders from top-tier domestic construction companies to carry out PF construction, SAP construction, and more. It is expected that sales will continue to increase as its technology is recognized in relation to socially emerging concerns about building safety. In addition to the PF method, it holds U.S. patents for the multipurpose small-diameter pile (SAP) and method with attached screws, as well as the cost-saving EXT pile with expanded tips.
The PF (Point Foundation) method is suitable for soft ground and serves to solidify weak soil. It can be applied to the foundations of low- to mid-rise structures such as apartment underground parking lots, row houses, logistics centers, and factories. It has been certified for safety by the Architectural Structure Technology Society and the Soil and Foundation Technology Society. It has attracted attention as an eco-friendly method that reduces costs, shortens construction time, and produces no noise or waste. It won the 'Hong Dae-yong Award' for patented technology in the first half of 2018 as a construction method for composite pile structures (PF method). It is an environmentally friendly method technically proven for stability and is applied by most major domestic construction companies such as Samsung C&T and Hyundai Development Company. It received construction new technology certification in the first half of 2017 and obtained a U.S. patent at the end of 2016. Based on this, it is expanding its business into overseas markets.
In the past, most foundation methods used PHC (concrete) piles, but as alternative foundation and ground improvement methods for piles have emerged, various methods are now applied through diversification of foundation materials. For more advanced technology, KH Construction’s PF (Point Foundation) method, developed for the first time in Korea, has completed technical verification through application at multiple sites and is expected to expand the base of the original ground replacement method.
