Following Era and Social Changes... Geochang-gun Begins Gyeongnam Province Social Survey This Year

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, will conduct the "2022 Gyeongsangnam-do Social Survey" from the 20th to June 10th, targeting 800 households aged 15 and older in 40 sample survey districts within the jurisdiction, with 10 survey investigators.

This survey has been conducted annually since 1992 in cooperation with Gyeongnam Province to understand social interests related to the quality of life of residents and changes in consciousness according to the times, serving as basic data for policy decisions.

This year's survey items include 60 common items across five sectors: health, family, household, society, and others, as well as 9 items in 4 sectors reflecting the characteristics of Geochang-gun, such as transportation and cultural tourism.

The survey methods include face-to-face interviews conducted by investigators wearing identification badges visiting target households directly, self-administered surveys where questionnaires are distributed and collected, and online surveys (May 23 to June 3). Completed households will receive a small token of appreciation.

Kim Tae-hee, Acting Mayor of Geochang-gun, said, "Since this is important data for improving residents' quality of life and the development of the county, we ask for active cooperation to ensure accurate surveys are conducted."

All responses from survey participants are strictly protected under Article 33 of the Statistics Act and are used solely for statistical compilation purposes.
